Dieting Made Easy
If you’ve been searching for a miracle diet that’s guaranteed to make you eat less – or not at all! – at every meal, your quest for the holy grail has ended! Introducing the “Curry Plate Of Shape Of Toilet.” Yes, this white porcelain plate is a perfect replica of a Japanese squat-style toilet. Paired with the serving suggestion of a rich brown Japanese curry, you’ll be on the cover of Vogue in no time.

Saw these at the Village Vanguard store in Shimo-kitazawa. If you’d like to be amazed by the weird goods there the next time you’re in Tokyo, a map to all Village Vanguard locations in Tokyo is on my other website, The Tokyo Guide I Wish I’d Had.

Writing mystery books set in Tokyo is mostly what I do, but I also blog about the odd stuff I see every day in Japan. I'm a graduate of Stanford University and the Sendagaya Japanese Institute in Tokyo, and a member of the International Thriller Writers, the Mystery Writers of America, and Sisters In Crime. When I'm not in Tokyo, I live in San Francisco. I also host a travel site called The Tokyo Guide I Wish I'd Had, so if you're headed to Japan and want to check out the places I take my friends when they're in town, take a look!
This might be the first case of foreshadowing via dishware.
hahahhhh, uhhhhhhhhhhh what? lol
Yeah, exactly! And it was being sold along with a bunch of super weird packaged curry mixes, including one that is supposedly made with SEAL meat. Triple checking my Japanese but EWW in advance!
WTF???
Amazing,huh?
