Honest Abe Gets An Extreme Makeover

I thought playing Rhett Butler in an all-Japanese, all-female production of Gone With The Wind was about as gender-bendy as you could get, but now one of the esteemed actresses in the famed Takarazuka troupe is donning beard and top hat to portray America’s most gangly abolitionist!

The Samurai’s Octopus…is a truly remarkable book, one that surprised and charmed me at every turn of the page. You’re in for a treat.”
James Ziskin, Anthony, Barry, and Macavity Award-winning author of the Ellie Stone mysteries

  1. Maybe the actress has a screeching, Gilbert Gottfried-voice and this will actually be the most authentic Abe Lincoln portrayal since, um, Gilbert Gottfried in that Seth MacFarlane movie. (Wow, I’ve really got him on my brain today)

      1. There’s just so much Family Guy on a Navy ship… Everyone watches it all the time, and the quotes never stop. -_-
