  1. Whenever a ship goes into a repair period out here, the entire interior has the same kind of jerry-rigging everywhere. It’s honestly impressive.

    1. It’s kind of reassuring, actually, that even in the middle of an ocean, the inevitable mechanical failures can be fixed (at least temporarily) with good old American ingenuity ^^;;

      1. Haha, I was referring to when we’re in our upkeep/dry dock period. The ship is essentially grounded, and it’s Japanese ingenuity. We have to do everything by the books*, but the contractors just have to get the job done.

        *This is a system you really don’t want to know about lol
