Used to be – if you were a Japanese man – you had it made. Food magically appeared on the table every mealtime and you never even had to learn how to push the button on the rice cooker or face the pots & pans that became mysteriously dirtied while keeping you alive. Mom did all that for you until you got married, then your wife took over. But not anymore! With more women holding down paying jobs and more people in general delaying marriage (often permanently), suddenly guys find themselves LIVING ALONE. And that means: COOKING ALONE.
Naturally, the Loft store has stepped in to make sure these poor dudes don’t starve. Behold the Solo Cooking series of appliances!

or for divorced or widowed men, when my grandma died my grandpa who lived in the countryside couldn’t even make coffee with the coffee machine… my uncle had to come and make breakfast for him every morning. I love the “solo oven” used to grill bread, like when you’re alone you can’t even have a REAL oven to cook a real size chicken ^^ they’re alone AND friendless.
I know, right? This is actually a huge problem for older men: if their wives die and they don’t have a daughter-in-law to take over all the cooking and washing, they’re totally helpless. (><) (But maybe that's why not so many women are signing up to be daughters-in-law anymore…!)
haha! It’s funny this stigma there is about men living alone it reminds me of this drama about an architect with Hiroshi Abe when he cooks for himself and drinks wine while listening to music, that’s how it should be. Celibate but classy ^^
Which end of the ketchup bottle. Love it.
And we all know some men who are STILL like this, don’t we? (*_*)

It’s like looking at a long-haired mirror….
Haha, I bet you beat the boss on the raw-egg-on-rice level long ago, however. (><)
