Glow-In-The-Dark Skeleton Vending Machine
Looking for a dinner companion who will light up when you’re near, even if you’re only eating Cup Noodles by the glow of your computer screen? Look no further, Forever Alones, now that there’s a vending machine that dispenses cute little glow-in-the-dark skeletons designed to cavort along the rim of your glass! A take-off on the wildly popular schoolgirl figures, one of the Skeletors even comes with a zombie lemon.

If you can’t get your own glow-in-the-dark-skeleton, at least you can read a novel set in Tokyo

Writing mystery books set in Tokyo is mostly what I do, but I also blog about the odd stuff I see every day in Japan. I'm a graduate of Stanford University and the Sendagaya Japanese Institute in Tokyo, and a member of the International Thriller Writers, the Mystery Writers of America, and Sisters In Crime. When I'm not in Tokyo, I live in San Francisco. I also host a travel site called The Tokyo Guide I Wish I'd Had, so if you're headed to Japan and want to check out the places I take my friends when they're in town, take a look!
Koppu no Fuchiko is gaining a lot attention recently. I wonder when she hits it big over yonder?
There were quite a few blog mentions in English when I googled her to find out if she was an established anime/manga character, and someone I know was asked to bring them back as omiyage, but she’s not really mainstream yet, I think. I have a set of the earplugs, though!
