Toilet Finder App!
Help! You’re in the middle of a crowded Tokyo train station and are suddenly hit with a digestive emergency! @トイレ smartphone app to the rescue!
From the folks who brought you “Stoppa,” the stomach remedy especially designed for overdrinking and exam season, behold “@Toilet,” the app that not only directs you to the nearest facilities, it rates them too!
Press the “Emergency” button and a map studded with happy toilet icons showing the nearest commodes pops up on your screen, along with a GPS dot showing where you are so you can see how far you’re going to have to run.
If you’re can wait long enough to be more picky, the Toilet Ranking button awards gold, silver and bronze crowns to the top three nearby privies, then rates the rest right down to the ones that probably belong in the Hall of Shame.

Writing mystery books set in Tokyo is mostly what I do, but I also blog about the odd stuff I see every day in Japan. I'm a graduate of Stanford University and the Sendagaya Japanese Institute in Tokyo, and a member of the International Thriller Writers, the Mystery Writers of America, and Sisters In Crime. When I'm not in Tokyo, I live in San Francisco. I also host a travel site called The Tokyo Guide I Wish I'd Had, so if you're headed to Japan and want to check out the places I take my friends when they're in town, take a look!
Finally! An app that meets an actual need! Once I get my phone I`m DEFINITELY downloading this one!
